Overview
Packing selected for your process
Evergreen offers structured packings in sheet metal, wire gauze, and knitted wire mesh, alongside random packings in ring and saddle forms. Conventional and high-capacity structured designs provide options for new installations and column revamps.
Selection considers capacity, separation efficiency, allowable pressure drop, and service conditions. Packing geometry, specific surface area, and material are chosen to suit the duty, including corrosion, fouling, and maintenance requirements.
Structured packing
Sheet metal, wire gauze and knitted wire mesh
Our structured packing range includes EVERPACK sheet metal and wire gauze constructions, with conventional and high-capacity designs, and HYFLUX knitted wire mesh packing. Packing geometry and specific surface area are selected to suit the separation duty.
EVERPACK SM
Sheet Metal Structured Packing
Corrugated sheet metal packing in SMY and SMX configurations, with a choice of specific surface areas. Crimp geometry is selected to balance capacity, pressure drop, and separation efficiency.

EVERPACK SM High Capacity
High Capacity Structured Packing
Shaped upper and lower edges ease the transition of vapour and liquid between packing layers. Available for column revamps and new installations.

EVERPACK WM
Wire Gauze Structured Packing
Corrugated wire gauze provides a wetted surface for vapour–liquid contact, with low pressure drop and low liquid hold-up. Applications include vacuum distillation, temperature-sensitive separations, pharmaceuticals, and fine chemicals.

EVERPACK WM High Capacity
High Capacity Wire Gauze Packing
Wire gauze construction with the shaped geometry of EVERPACK SM high-capacity packing. Designed for increased flow capacity and lower pressure drop compared with conventional WM packing.

HYFLUX
Knitted Wire Mesh Packing
Fine wire filaments form a knitted mesh with a high contact surface area and open volume. Designed for separations requiring a moderate to large number of theoretical stages within limited column height.

Grid packing
EVERGRID-SM and EVERGRID-EM

EVERGRID-SM
Sheet Metal Grid Packing
Corrugated sheet metal with thicker construction and smooth surfaces for strength and fouling resistance. Applications include wash beds in vacuum columns and bottom sections of ethylene quench columns.

EVERGRID-EM
Metal Blade Grid Packing
An open grid of angled metal blades connected by rods. Sloped surfaces promote liquid washing and limit solids accumulation and liquid hold-up. Available in EM#20 sawtooth and EM#30 louvred-blade configurations.
Random packing
E-PR, E-IR, E-CR, E-SR, and E-SFP
Available in many sizes and grades.

E-PR
Pall Ring Packing
The cylindrical wall has multiple slots and windows that allow liquid and vapour to flow through the walls. Available in metallic and plastic grades.

E-IR
Saddle-shaped Metal Packing
An open saddle-shaped structure promotes liquid distribution across the packing surface while limiting liquid hold-up and resistance to vapour flow. Its formed structure provides mechanical strength.

E-CR
Mini Ring Packing
A mini ring design encourages a more horizontal orientation in the packed bed, exposing its inner and outer surfaces to fluid contact and reducing liquid hold-up. Available in metallic and plastic grades.

E-SR
Random Packing
E-SR is a high-performance packing consisting of several staggered sinusoidal waves, giving it an extremely large open area and low pressure drop. It is also very lightweight. Available in plastics and metallics.

E-SFP
Random Packing
E-SFP has an extremely open structure that provides high capacity, high efficiency, and lower pressure drops. Available in plastics only.
