  • Caustic extraction
  • Niche reactive contacting
  • Specialty mass-transfer duties

Overview

When conventional internals don’t fit, we engineer one that does

Most of Evergreen’s portfolio addresses well-defined service categories — fractionation, absorption, mist elimination, coalescence. But the chemical-process industry routinely runs into services that fall between the standard categories: reactive contacting with strict residence-time control, specialty caustic extraction, niche separations where pressure drop or hold-up budgets are tight enough that catalogue products won’t work.

The Proprietary Internals line is where Evergreen and its R&D partners design these one-off solutions — each purpose-built for a specific service class.

Film Contactors

Niche services, developed with EIL

Film Contactors are a specialty internal for a niche range of applications — including mercaptan removal from LPG streams and similar caustic-extraction duties where liquid residence time, contact area, and pressure drop must all be tightly controlled.

The product was developed in a joint development programme with the R&D group of Engineers India Ltd. (EIL) — bringing together Evergreen’s manufacturing capability with EIL’s process-engineering depth in refinery technology.

Application

Mercaptan Removal from LPG

Caustic extraction of sulphur-bearing mercaptan compounds from liquefied petroleum gas. Film Contactors offer controlled contact area and lower pressure drops.

Development Partner

Engineers India Ltd. — R&D Group

Joint development programme combining EIL’s refinery process-engineering expertise with Evergreen’s specialty-internals manufacturing capability.

Talk to us early

Specialty services require specialty conversations

Proprietary Internals are specified case-by-case in dialogue with our process engineers and the client’s operations team. Service conditions, throughput, target separation, and operating envelope all drive the right answer. Engage us early — we’ll work alongside your process licensor or in-house engineering to specify and supply the right unit.
