Selection and project requirements
Equipment selection considers operating pressure and temperature, flow rates, liquid loading, water chemistry and required separation performance. Materials, inspection requirements and documentation are agreed to suit the application and project specifications.
Selected power-plant applications
Mist Extractors in Steam Generators
Mist extractors for steam generators and steam drums to reduce entrained water carry-over, including high-pressure applications in nuclear power plants. Construction, materials and support arrangements are selected for the operating pressure, temperature, steam and liquid loads, and required outlet steam quality.
- EVERMESH mist extractors
- EVERON vane mist eliminators
Boiler Feed Water Treatment
Liqui-Cel® membrane contactors for dissolved-gas removal and Electropure EDI modules for continuous ionic removal in power-plant water-treatment systems. Modules are selected based on feed-water quality, flow rate and the required outlet water quality.
- Liqui-Cel® membrane contactors
- Electropure EDI (manufactured by SnowPure)
Pollution-Control Scrubbers
Mist eliminators collect entrained scrubbing-liquid droplets at wet-scrubber outlets. Packings can be supplied for gas–liquid contact where the scrubber design and service conditions permit. Selection considers gas flow, droplet loading, solids content, fouling potential, pressure drop and washing requirements.
- EVERON vane mist eliminators
- EVERMESH mist eliminators
- EVERPACK packings
Project requirements for nuclear applications
For nuclear projects, the intended duty and applicable qualification requirements are reviewed before confirming the supply scope. Materials, inspection and testing, traceability, quality-assurance documentation and any required qualifications must be agreed at the time of the order, in accordance with the approved project specifications.
